PRIVATE AURORA HUNT
The best nights are the ones you actually watch.
The thing people tell me most often, after an aurora night, is that they loved not having to think about the photographs.
That is most of the job. The aurora arrives, everyone reaches for a phone, and the next twenty minutes are spent squinting at a screen instead of at the sky. You paid to come this far north to see it.
You should see it.
So I handle that part. You watch, I work, and the photographs are better than anything a phone was going to produce anyway.
I moved here because this part of the world does things to light I have not seen anywhere else. The polar night, the low winter sun that turns everything gold for forty minutes and then leaves. I photograph it obsessively, which is convenient for everyone.

PRIVATE AURORA HUNT
One price, one vehicle, one to seven people, the whole night yours. A warm comfortable minivan with room to stretch out, a professional photographer who has been watching Arctic forecasts long enough to know where the lights tend to show, and a genuine willingness to drive into Finland if that is where the sky looks better.
Good conversation comes standard. So does your favorite music. If you want to learn something about aurora photography on the way, ask. If you would rather sit in the quiet and watch the sky without touching a camera all night, that is the entire point.

YOU ARE BOOKING THE DAY, NOT THE SKY
The aurora cannot be guaranteed, and anyone who tells you otherwise is guessing. What I can promise is that every available forecast gets checked, every good spot gets considered, and we chase the lights as long as conditions and the timeframe allow.
AURORA PORTRAITS — AFTER THE TOUR
One group photo comes with every tour. Professional aurora portraits, directed, properly lit, and edited, are available to purchase afterward at NOK 450 per image.

PORTRAITS IN THE ARCTIC
The location is part of what you are buying.
These are not generic portrait sessions that happen to take place in Norway. They are sessions designed around specific places that look like nowhere else on earth, and the time of year matters as much as the location.
Prestvannet in winter is powdery hues and a quiet that the city does not have. In autumn the birch trees go rusty and the light goes low and warm. In summer, the midnight sun makes everything glow at midnight as if it forgot to stop. The downtown has a different energy entirely, street art, the harbour, the kind of urban Arctic texture you would not find in Bergen or Oslo.
I talk you through every frame. You do not need to know how to pose.

URBAN PORTRAIT SESSION
The city reads differently through a camera than it does as a pedestrian. There are pockets of light and texture that most people walk straight past. We find them together.

YOU ARE BOOKING THE DAY, NOT THE SKY
Weather does not cancel sessions. Life-threatening conditions do, and those are rare.
Everything else, rain, wind, cloud, snow, flat light, dramatic light, fog that rolls in from nowhere, these are not problems. They are the session. Some of the best portraits I have ever made happened in conditions that looked, on paper, like a disaster.
The Arctic does not do predictable.
These sessions are outdoors, please dress appropriately.

NATURE PORTRAIT SESSION
Prestvannet sits in the middle of Tromsøya and looks like a different world depending on when you come. Telegrafbukta is at the sourthernmost tip of the island, and is an incredibly popular park amongst locals.
You can choose either location, you can't go wrong: for forest vibes, Presvannet, for beaches and piers, Telegrafbukta.
The 2-hour session includes a warm drink from me somewhere in the middle, because by that point you will have earned it.

PERSONAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Your personal photographer for the day.
This one is harder to put in a box, which is partly why I like it.
You hire me for a full day and I photograph whatever you are doing and wherever you are going. I have strong opinions about where to take you if you want suggestions. Senja, Lyngen, Grotfjord, Sommarøy, even Lofoten if you have the time.
I can guide, loosely, in the sense that I know these places and I know what they look like at different hours and in different weather. But the photography is the point. The day is yours. I just bring the camera and make sure it all looks right.
For longer engagements including week-long trips, honeymoons, and proposals, personal photography for the day or the week is a dedicated offering with its own structure and rates.

PRIVATE PHOTOGRAPHER DAY
Eight hours with a photographer who is entirely yours.
Not someone you have to brief on the day or manage between locations, but someone who shows up, reads the room, and handles the photographs while you get on with living the day you planned.
I am there for the moments you would have missed reaching for your phone.
The expression between the posed ones.
The part of the trip you will want to remember most, which is almost never the part you thought to document.
50 to 70 edited images, in your inbox by 10 the following morning.
Full day · 50 to 70 edited images included · delivery next day by 10 AM
TAG-ALONG PHOTOGRAPHY
You already have the boat, the cabin, the dog sled, the helicopter, the dinner. You want someone there making photographs of it. My day rate applies and you handle my access to whatever you have arranged. The logistics are yours. The images are mine to make and yours to keep.
Get in touch with the details and I will tell you if I am available.
